When Seven meets Paul, a fellow artist with a curious smile, he begins to feel that moving halfway across the country in the middle of his junior year may not be the worst thing to ever happen. Paul’s caring nature helps Seven put the past behind him and what began as a crush becomes first love. Seven uses his art to come out publicly at the school art show, but not everyone is happy. Troubling photographs begin to appear and threaten to destroy the relationship Seven and Paul are building. Paul’s past trauma and fear for Seven’s safety lead to a misunderstanding and an act of deception that puts Seven’s life on a path that could alter it forever.
